Hello beautiful people!

Welcome to Grammar and Style, a fashion blog by a girl whose life is more grammar than glamour. I’m not a fashion expert, but I’ve got the basics down, and I’m committed to trying new things.

My current project? Learning to “dress like a grown-up.” I’m currently a 20-year-old college student, but I’m trying to build a wardrobe that will help me fit in in professional settings. I’m studying to be a journalist, a profession that requires me to communicate with people from all walks of life and have them trust me with information, and I want to be able to dress the part.

I believe in blogging as a form of communication. I’ll post about my outfits, nail polish finds and even the occasional “kitchen adventure,” and in return I’d love to hear your thoughts about my fashion successes and failures, and your tips for improvement, too.

Again, I’m learning as I go here, both in terms of style and blogging, but I’d love to have you along for the ride. Cheers.

PS — Follow me on Twitter @grammarystyle ! I can also be reached at grammarystyle@gmail.com

Disclaimer on anonymity: You’ll notice that I don’t have a name on here, and I blur out all or most of my face in photos. It’s not that I don’t trust you; I’m just a student who doesn’t want my professors finding out that I don’t know how to properly wear a pencil skirt (and that I’m spending time on that issue that I could be spending on homework!). Thanks for understanding.

I totally love the name of your blog and look forward to seeing what you come up with for the rest of the Color Rotation challenge. I too lack orange in my closet, so I guess we’ll have to get creative 😉 On a more nerdy note, I got my degree in Print Journalism (and currently work as an English tutor part-time), so grammar is very dear to me as well. Seems we’ve got a bit in common!

Thanks, Dee! It should be a fun challenge, let’s see how we all do! Everyone knows Print journalists are the coolest — anyone who says differently is just jealous of our mad grammar skills 😉

Yay! I started out as a copy editor, and now I am a design editor at a newspaper. I love grammar and dressing well, too!

All the cool kids are copy editors 😉 I have an internship that requires some design this summer, and I’m nervous — hope I can pick it up fast!

Oops. Sorry, I didn’t mean to post that link… I was pasting it in my last comment and got a little overzealous.
